Here's an engagement image of a couple I will be shooting next saturday. This is not the one they chose. The first image is the one I chose and the second with the red blouse is the one they chose. Any coments welcome.

You went for the photo that is artsy. Which is good by the way. Yet the couple went for the full on mug shot pose. They wanted to make sure that everyone would know who they are. This should also give you a clue as to the type of photos that they will like of their wedding. They are not interested in anything too artsy.

Yes you're right. During the interview they know they will be getting both types of images and they like the artsy ones but when it's time to order they usually pick the ones showing the smile on there face.

I already shot the wedding, now let's see which images they choose.

I love both images - especially your favorite. It's so funny that people see the artsy stuff and that's what draws them to you but then the often choose (like Ed said) the full on mug shot. (Obviously it's more creative than a mug shot but the whole "look at the camera and smile" thing.) Keep showing what you love to shoot! By the way, which images did they end up choosing for their wedding images - arsty or straight on?

I think the couple haven't return from the honeymoon yet,
They haven't pick up their CD-Album yet. I give them a CD-Album made with FlipAlbum with all the images viewable through a PC only and they can't print them.
Well they can if they print copy from the desktop.

So I don't know what kind of images they will choose for there album. I hope they choose the ones that tell the story.
