Hello folks,
Just released my new website and before I send out to market I would really appreciate some honest feedback. Please tell me what you think about the images, the music and overall appeareance. I have been shooting 2nd to a great photographer and though I will continue with him I also want to begin booking on my own. Any critique will be welcomed.

I like it alot! Its clean, loads fast, the music is a subjective thing some people will like it some won't that's why there is mute button Did you build this yourself or use a service like bigfolio?

Richard you have nothing to worry about! You have some gorgeous location shots there, and your editing looks really nice too.

Congrats on a very nice site. One thing I will mention though, is the music. That song, I am assuming is a copyrighted song, yes? do you have permission to use it, is it public domain, or did you just decide to use it because you like it? That would be the only thing I question, when hearing a popular, current song.

Excellent point Jess. Using copyrighted music without permission can lead to big problems...just like the unauthorized use of our photographs. Didn't Cris post a link about this somewhere on here?

Don't know if I had posted it in the past or not Steve, however PPR does not condone or encourage the use of copyrighted music on websites.

We understand that this seems to be a common practice that has been up for much debate on many photography user forums. I suggest you find out how to purchase the rights to use that music, if you wish to continue use it or check out some of the royalty free music that can be found online. I even think i saw somewhere that Bambi Cantrell had a CD of royalty free music that she was endorsing. You may want to check her site. www.cantrellportrait.com

You migh also want to drop int othe legal forum here at PPR and see what Carolyn Wright has to say on the subject. Though she can not give you direct legal advice she can inform you of the law that surrounds copywritten music.
