For photographers who post behind the scenes video footage of their coverage what is a good starting point for editing or rendering software?

Is flash video format the best way to go for a compressed file size?

I have a few more questions but I don't want to overload.

Thanks in advance

If you are refering to DVD slide shows, I use Pro Show Gold program. It is a pretty good program.

Hi Vida,
There are tradeoffs with all onlline video formats.

Flash video has quickly taken the online world by storm and for me, even though it doesn't have the quality of Quicktime far makes up for it with it's install base.

According to adobe they have over 98% market penetration.

here is a link with the statistics.

I hope this helps feel free to fire away with the rest of your questions.

Flash is the way to go... with its cross platform compatibility, it is your best option. Look at the success of YouTube their choice for streaming video.

I second the use of Photodex software, I prefer Pro Show Producer. It will give you all the flexability for creating a multimedia show, which you can produce in a flash, jpeg, avi etc format. They have some good examples and tutorials on their site. Good hunting! Paul B

Be careful where & how you use flash. Iphone currently doesn't do flash(unless it is on youtube). I would suggest Quicktime, because of it's cross platform usability. Almost any cheap editing software will create a QT file. If it weren't for the large number of iphone users, I wouldn't worry about flash. But the Iphone market keeps growing.... and they are a market that can't be overlooked.
