Some Things Are Better In Pairs |

Sometimes, for various reasons, our photos work together in a series. Just like putting music to photos in a presentation or slide show adds an extra emotional aspect to images, a series of images can have a similar emotional impact. As photographers we can tell how a session is going to pan out right from the start. With some children and families you are happy getting just one great shot. But in some sessions we get a lot of great shots and at times that can be overwhelming to a parent that has to decide which images to order. Something that I like to do in this situation is push different combinations of images as groups as opposed to your standard gift sized prints. Always go for your wall portrait sales because as we all know that is the highest profit item, but instead of individual 8x10s or 5x7s push for some series groups. These series are not necessarily going to fall into your packages, but if you do a little creative pricing, such as implementing an "adding a pose" price or offering a "series upgrade" to your packages, this can be a great way to add additional revenue to your print sales.
