My studio happened to be on the route of an Artwalk in our area and in addition to some of my own photos I also had a local sculptor/mixed media artist showing in my studio. I managed to convince him to sit for a quick shot. He graciously accepted and minutes before the exhibition kicked off, I pulled him into the camera room and snapped off 3 quick shots, then he was back setting up his pieces. Unfortunately, in the rush I forgot to turn on the background light, but I think I still got a pretty good image. Hopefully in the coming weeks I can get him back in the studio for a full session, cause I think as a subject he has great potential for me to create a stunning image.

Please C&C and so when he does come back in I don't make the same mistakes again.

Thanks,
Scott A. Breaux

I love it! What is that effect you've done to it and how did you do it (if you don't mind divulging your secrets Maybe it's my lack of experience but I think it is great how it is. Good job!

Perhaps try lighting the background Rembrandt style. Worth a try.

What a great face! Personally I think a background light would be a distraction. Nicely done!

I like it just as it is to. Looks very painterly and classic.

Nicely done!
