I've heard it mentioned several times on other forums and some videos. I was just wondering if any of you use one and how well to do you like it over using the mouse?

I would not do without my Wacom tablet. The control that I get is super. Also a lot more natural to handle than using a mouse. Very precise instrument. Get one you won't be sorry.

Thanks for the feedback Ed. I've looked at them a few times over the years, but the price tags have always kept me from buying.

Yep i love my Wacom Intuos 2 6x8 tablet.
it took a bit to get use to but couldn't edit without it now.

You can buy the small graphire tablet and do good work; I prefer the intuos-- the cintiq is wonderful but expensive---$ 2500. But a used 6x8 or 7x9 intuos
2 or 3 is wonderful. Once you try it, you will dump your mouse.
The pen works everywhere, on the picture, the sw choices, etc. very intuitive
much quicker and more precise.

I was looking at the Intuos 3 9x12. It's list as $450 on the Walcom site. What size do you guys think is "nessecery"? They also say it comes with a 5 button mouse... do you have to use that one or could I keep using my MS laser mouse for web surfing and the few games I play?
