I use the quick flip but I inverted it to use with my right hand. I prepared a Aluminum plate to use the camera a litle behing the bracket. I hold the camera by the grip not by the bracket. its light and easy

Look at the WPF-1 from RRS, www.reallyrightstuff.com these will last you forever and the design is second to none. They are lightweight, too and quality made from excellent aircraft material.
