RAW Issues 1 Year, 11 Months ago
Yesterday i spent the afternoon shooting a local Oak Forest I came home with some images that I was really happy with.

I first opened up the images in iView Media Pro to take a quick look at what i got and everything looked just as i remembered shooting them for the most part. I shot my camera settings on my 5d in Adobe RGB, Raw and the Neutral Picture Style which i don't think makes a difference when shooting Raw.

When i open the images up in my RAW Processors i get bizarre results, different in all of them. Photoshop CS 2 shows horrible Magenta Fringing around the small branches that are up against a grey sky. Capture One the image looks horribly Cyan and The Canon Raw Processor looks much like CS2.

Am I completely missing something here? Why are these RAW Processors seeming to color the image and iView showing me what i would consider the correct image?

Totally baffled anyone have any ideas?

I had this problem before when I use breeze brower and photoshop and Capture one. I found out that color calibrate or color management is different in each one of the program. It did drove me crazy. So I did color management each program at the same. It work fine. Maybe that might be your problem!

Cris,
Probably a dumb question but did you have the camera set to capture RAW+JPG? Is Iview reading the jpg and not the raw file?

hey George, nope i only capture RAW when i'm in the great outdoors well or at least until i can upgrad all my 1 gig cf cards. It's amazing how many fewer pictures you get on a 1 gig card going from a 20d to a 5d I guess this makes the camera industry go around.

Hey George,
I abandoned this session as things got kind of busy around here. I do need to solve this problem and as soon as I figure out what's going on i'll post my findings.
