If we are serious about doing this I think we need to start planning. Cris, can we make this a sticky post so we can start collecting names of those interested. Also, from those who have been there can we get a list of places to stay. I would like to do the park in sections, so does anyone have any suggestions on how we should proceed?

Are you wanting to camp or stay in motels?

Cool Don, I'll send this request out in an email to the group as well and maybe get some of those who are not particularly active in the forums to show some interest as well.

Cris...

Speaking as a photographer who shoots to support his fly fishing habit, autumn is simply magical in Yellowstone and Grand Teton. After Labor Day the crowds vanish, and the people you meet in the parks are once again very friendly.

The light becomes more and more beautiful in the morning and evening as temperatures begin dropping in September, and the associated fogs, mists and frosts begin to appear. It doesn't get any better than this!

Be prepared for cold temps--especially in October. Enjoy!

I wanted to camp but it looks like all the water gets turned off around the middle of Sept, so I don't want to go without a shower for 3 weeks. Any recommendations on motels?
