Aloha all!

I may be the last to learn about this...but if not I wanted to share what I just learned yesterday. I have an Epson stylus pro 4000 Ultrachrome. It uses the same print engine as the 7600 and 9600. I mostly use the Epson Premium Luster 250 roll papers, but I noticed on my most recent print job that some of the prints came out with a strong yellow or slightly green cast to the skin tones. And in a couple cases the highlight to shadow transitions were really harsh!

Here's what I learned...The 250 paper is being phased out and replaced by 260 paper. And the 260 has a different ICC profile than the 250. This new profile is only available with the new Driver. For non 64bit systems the driver is version 5.52 available for download free at Epson.com.

Installing the new driver solved the color and transition issues, but now the damn thing won't print borderless! It gives a 1 inch border on the leading and back end of every unit even when printing batches. I'm waiting right now to hear from the techs about a 'workaround' for that.

Just wanted to share.

Great if it aint one thing it's another . . . I've been running the brilliant lustre through my 4000 without a problem but i'll definitely keep an eye out for any problems.

John, is any of this remedied by using ImagePrint? Just wondering.

Cris...
