Does anyone have any experience with this new printer? It is so much lighter than the 4400 I'm wondering about durability.

My Car is lighter than the 4400

It sure looks nice, i've not seen the output and i'd say from my perspective the only real downside is that it doesn't take roll paper but that may not be a concern to you.

I'd be curious to hear others opinions on this one to.

I think Dons suspicions are on the right track. This printer is not built to last and it's not cheap when you consider that. If you make something weigh 40 lbs less, you've really just made it cheaper. The other big concern would be its ability to feed paper straight. With a smaller format you can get away with this kind of paper feed but with larger sheets of heavy paper it's going to have problems. If you are not going to print a lot and you can live with baby sitting the paper feed, it's the cheapest tabloid printer on the market.

I've been using the 3800 for 6-8 months now and works perfectly, granted that 99% of my printing is on 13x19 lustre. I'm waiting on the 17x?? roll so i can get it cut to 17x25 and print 16x24 on it.
