Thanks Stephen! I was afraid of that! :) I guess there's some things that only personal experience can teach you. Your response is greatly appreciated! I'll let you know when the "a ha" moment hits me. Thank you.

You mean "A-Ha momentS!"

Just a quick 2 cents...Smichellem hit a very important point in that "flawless" look...The makeup artist really is crucial. As is the lighting, and the model. I've worked with a number of makeup artists, and those that have experience working on movie and TV sets seem to get it best. They paint the face like a canvas! And when they're done, completely flat, shadowless lighting looks gorgeous! And portrait lighting takes on an additional dimension.

Steve, you're working with Lotus tomorrow, right? See if you don't agree that she is awesome!

Aloha all,

Nope. Her plans changed and then the model pulled a flake job [I KNEW it would happen right from the start]. I have to start charging a non-refundable deposit...

An other easy setup with two Canon Flash lights, used a lite panel to diffuse the light from left. And a color filter from Lee filter to color the wall in the background. The picture was taken last Saturday.
