One of the greatest books I have read is that Steve have wrote. Thanks a lot for sharing. And Dean Collins DVD's are a great tool to me as well. I know I'm lacking in lightning and composing and I'm working on those issues, very hard. But one step after the other one.

I thought I want to share a picture I took yesterday for a male Russian models portfolio. The picture was taken in daylight in the evening. I used f/5.6 on the flashes and the daylight was 1/30 sec (if I remember it right). Instead of burning in the background I did opposite so I could get a nigh mood picture instead. We had the shooting on a parking place behind the model agency studio.

What do you think, does the lightning works?

The lighting definitely works, Hammar-man! It totally has the feel of a night scene. Good portfolio shot.

Spotlights can be very hard to control but this is handled very well. It works for the shot andthe blue background really makes it pop! Nice!

Oh...and thanks for the compliment on my book!

It totally works Robert. Looks really good and has a great mood. The hard edge on the shadows really brings it out.

Sean (the total noob here!)
