Robert,

I understand your frustration--believe me.

I reread Stan's note and think I understand what he meant: I would blur the top level and use a layer mask that reveals all--leaving the whole image a blurred mess--and carefully paint your model back in.

Thanks a lot for your feedback, it means a lot to me and you have been very helpful. I did a testshooting today with my stylist, Radboud from Holland. Actually the editor of chief are from USA, so it will be a very international fashion shooting. Me as a Swedish photographer, the models and the make-up are from Finland and a Dutch stylist.

I took a test shot today, I also tried a lower angle but I think this work better.

Hi Robert,

Very interesting. I don't think my idea would work for you after looking at the test shot--unless you played with some small blur radius [much smaller than than the 50 pixels I used in my example]--because the trains and the building would also blur badly...but that might not be a bad thing either. Play with it with different pixel values and let me know what you think. Be careful becuase they people along sinde and behind your "model" are clearly identifiable. People or objects coming towards your lens blur much less than when the are crossing the focal plane.

Thanks for posting the image--it helped to see what you were trying to do...

Stephen, no problem, happy to post some comments. I have found out that we will shot a FennoFolk fashion shooting for the magazine. More about that in my blog, www.roberthammar.se

Over... today we had the shooting and thanks a lot for all suggestions. You have been very helpful! I post one of the pictures with a great top model to right. That guy (top model) is usually behind the camera but I think he has a future as a top model, don't you think?
