Robert,
That Sucks! When did your gear get stolen?

Keep the faith.

I changed insurance company in August, and when I talked to the saleswoman promised that a travelling insurance would cover all my equipment. I hope they keep their words, because I asked them several times and told the value of my bag, €15,000. Full list (in Swedish, but you can see the brand etc.)

It happened on my trip to Stockholm. I had three photo sessions on my cards, all in the bag. There is nothing left, the models and makeup artist they are pissed off. After a long day we just stopped for a beer on our way back home. I had my bag between my legs, and the thief run away with my bag. Me and two securities from the pub after him.

Lesson learned, keep CF-cards in your pocket, if possible do a back up on units like Epson Viewer. Keep the unit seperate from the bag. Have the bag locked on something when you have a stop.

Thanks for the sad but valuable reminder to ALWAYS watch your gear. I know that I sometimes keep my gear "within eye sight," but obviously that's far from good enough since yours was stolen from right under you. Best of luck getting your gear replaced.

Carlos, thanks the beer was great after 12 hours hard work. I had two models to work with during the day. It's really awful to loose the shots. I've got some really great picturse wich would have been perfect in my portfolio.

So keep your cards close to you!
