I get hit up all of the time by non-profits wanting photography for a link and worth cause. In other words, they'll give me photocredits along with my website address. I've found that most will never call back after I decline but offer to license the images to them. Many of them do have money and are paying full price for all of thier design and print work. I usally ask if they have a budget amount that includes photography, sometimes they yes, x amount per image.

Aloha Howard!

I looked at your post some time ago, but didn't put in my 2 cents...and I see neither has anyone else, so here's my thoughts on the non-profits...

Yes, they always want everything donated. And many of them do have plenty cash! Aint it a B----! So it comes down to: How busy are you? And: How charitable are you feeling?

It's always a good idea to ask the budget they have for the photography for the project. Are there any other ways you can make a profit with the images from their event?

Whatever kind of price break you give them, you can invoice the retail amount, notate a donation of diference between the retail and what you charge them, and claim that amount as a charitable donation.

And always get photo credits wherever you can...in the program, on the images or in the captions, etc.
