Will,
Can you use the Nikon SB800 with the S5 for TTL?

Garry

Hi Gary,
Absolutely. And it works GREAT on the S5 in TTL mode - much better than the S3 was in TTL.
Best of luck!

Has anyone caught wind of when the HyperUtility Software for the S5 might actually be available for purchase?

Hey Craig!
Yes, the HyperUtility v3 is available as an upgrade for $60 if you still have the S3 install CD, or you can buy the whole enchilada for $110.

B&H has them available right now:

Hi Will,
Yes thanks. I did see that on B&H's site but its listed as a 'special order'. Went to Fujimall and it reads like the software has not actually hit the market yet. I don't know if thats true or not but it says, 'Available soon'. After posting I did call them and they thought maybe in two weeks it would be shipping. I kind of panicked after looking at S5 Raw files processed via ACR. Not too good. Noisy. I guess that opinion parallels your Raw Converter article. I do like the S5. Shot wedding images (jpgs) and thought highlights might have been gone in some. But no blown highlights!
