Hi guys. Thought you might like to see this image. I was shooting a wedding and this little girl had just been told of by her dad. She went off and sat on this pew for about five minutes then ran outside and played with the other kids like nothing had happened.

These are nice Larry what is your light source on these? Seems to be a large source, nice and soft.

One thing I would suggest, given that you were hesitant of the props (which I would have been too but sometimes you have to do what you have to do) consider going in for some real tight shots so that the props don't show. Try shooting from above down on him or get real low, that may have given you options to shoot around the prop. I am a closeup addict when it comes to photographing children anyway, but if only I had a dollar for every time a grandmother asked me why I chopped the top of the child's head off...


The question really is: Is there one shot that your are most proud of, that really illustrates how the session went and what his personality really is? That would be the main goal, to get at least one where you can say that.
