From a play date yesterday afternoon. Youngest of three kids. Last time I saw him he was but a few months old, drooling in a bouncer. Now he has all kinds of hair.

Looks great, I would have had the neg. space on left in the picture at right to him.

Best

Thanks, Robert. My thought at the time was his reversed-L pose worked better with the framing. What do you think?

Aloha Larry!

Really nice photograph! Only thing I would say to improve it is that since the background doesn't really add anything to the image, crop in closer to your subject.

I agree generally that the crop you have is good for the pose, but again, the background isn't adding anything. Can't ID the location, it's way out of focus, so crop it close to the subject.

Again, really nice portrait of the boy. Lighting is great, expression is good...Very nice, PD!

I know I may be a "rule" breaker but here are my thoughts. I think that the red tree to the top left of the frame balances the weight of the image. Also I would crop in a touch in the right side to so the boy and the background tree split the image. I have never adopted the "subjects should not gaze out of the image rather into it" school of thought. I like the mystery attached to the out of frame gaze.

Just my thoughts,
~wes
