I'm critical on focusing on right spot and that means I set the focus on the eye closest to the camera. So what do you do after having setting the camera on a tripod, AF-focusing going manual with a low f/stop. Can tell you that I have even focusing manually to get the spot on focus too. A friend of mine asked me why I always soft focusing. So, I had to look it up. Yep, my Canon 5D was corrupted from box, some dust in the viewer too and after a service recently they confirmed that the camera had some front focus problem. 5D is a great camera but check your focusing and check every detail of it. It's going very fast at the factory in Japan and they don't bother of minor problems.

 YIKES!! I have had my 5d for over year now and I know my focus issues have been purely human error!

Thanks for the heads up
