Here is a shot that I took with a Canon 5D. When I looked at the color photo I thought it was too blown-out to be of any use. When I converted it to B&W in PS I liked the photo. Any comments?

Beautiful shot! I love how everything gets washed out except those amazing eyes!

At first glance all looks great, however, I would make the following changes;

1. Remove barber pole background, ugh!
2. The hand a sub focal point (is not!) It leads away from the face and directs eyes to navel, not the best. Far better would be to position hand behind head, ie, give direction to the face.
3. This also appears as a nice Bra ad! It's not is it??
4. My choice would be to oval crop at top of breast to eliminate extraneous elements and focus on the beautiful face.
5. Face appears flat, needs more punch and also lighten the eyes.
