Hey gang,

It's your turn again...I've got shoots set-up for the next two Sundays. What topic would you like to see an article about?

Hi, Steve!

I have to say that you rock! What you have teached me have now ended up in a workshop for me in Stockholm. I have been reading your book and your post here at PPR and learned my lessons. Next weekend I will leave Helsinki for Stockholm, and there I will teach how to use small flash lights. I have to give some credits to Paul too and Bryan for sharing their flash wisdom with me.

What I haven't figured out yet is the math and how to calculate a f/stop with an other f/stop. I'm rereading the chapter now and then.

What I have in mind for next weekend is to setup a new lightsetup with same model on the top of this site. But this time I will use 5 small flashlight instead of two big.

What I love to learn more about is how to use lite panels with flash ligths. And of course how to mix lite panels/flash with daylight. How about making a cloudy daylight situation to look like a sunlite day.

All my best!

Robert

Many mahalos Robert! OK, more on the Additive Nature of Light and using light panels with and without strobes. It sounds like you have my Fashion and Glamour book...that chapter is a tough one. The math part is not so difficult, but shifting back and forth from regular math to 'f-stop math' can be maddening! There are a couple of series from my outdoor lighting book that look at doing what you asked about with the litepanels. Maybe I'll run an excerpt from it...

Dean was one of my favorite educators. I'm glad that I got to attend one of his seminars before he passed away. He is sorely missed.
