Hi ,
I`m trying to buy the 17-55 2.8 nikon lens but its been out of stock for some time should I stick with nikon brand or buy Sigma-Tammaron or Tonika brand???
big differnet with the price but how is the quality???
please advice...

Hi Nabil,

I have owned Tamron lenses in the past and they have been fine, but I don't know if you will see a difference with digital--I've only used the "house" lenses with digital.

Anyone out there have first hand knowledge?

Aloha Nabil!
I use both Nikon & Sigma lenses. I have the Sigma 24 ~ 70 2.8 and it's my primary lens. It's great. And the savings over the Nikon was significant.
