Architecture self assignment 5 Months, 4 Weeks ago
I had the opportunity to shoot the local airport last week, and the non-professional, non-architectural photographers I've showed these images to were mostly complimentary. Now for a tougher audience.

I use a fisheye for the first two and both have been cropped and somewhat, but not completely, defished. I was told by one individual that, regarding the dawn shots, I should have achieved a better balance between the sky and the structure by waiting until the sky was more illuminated, but that's not the shot I was after. I like the contrast between the dark, colorful sky and the bright terminal.

Any thoughts, general or specific, are appreciated.

Thanks.

Nicely done! It would be interesting to see an HDR rendition of your first two shots that might reveal more shadow detail. Composition is excellent. The daytime shot is very strong.

Thanks, Alan.

I shot 5 bracketed frames on all the images posted and, in fact, the first two are a blend of two frames at different exposures as well as at different white balances.

Photomatix does not give me a pleasing result on these first two shots. Here is one result:

I can make do with the sky, but I don't like how the terminal rendered. I expect what I'll end up doing is taking the PM output and then layering select frames with it in Photoshop.

Thanks again for your comments.
