Well it's me again, and I'm starting to feel like I'm the only one using this forum.

I enjoyed your latest article Alan, but I'm confused about something. In the intro you said you met this other photographer on the street corner who was loaded down with cases of equipment and all you had was a "wheeled 'carry on' camera case with a lightweight tripod and grip case strapped to the top."

What about light cases? Where were the strobes and/or hot lights that you described in another topic here?

I'd also be interested in hearing about the parts you use for the Articulated grip arm. I think I have something similar with a magic-clamp on one end and a spring clamp on the other. However, I find it quite bulky and heavy, and have started to use the Lowel Tota-flag and Flexi-shaft instead. It's very light and takes up very little room in the case.

Cheers,

Andrew

I was on my way to an available light shoot of a commercial building--no additional lighting required. The other fellow likewise was carrying no lighting equipment, but had a Sinar system, Hasselblad system and assorted accessories, film and tripods.

I use the Pelican 1510 case for my camera gear. It's tough enough to travel as checked baggage and meets carryon requirements for all airlines.

The Bogen grip arm I use is made from the following components: Super Clamp #2915, Articulated Arm #196AB2 and Clip Clamp #2936.
