Happy New Year! I hope that your year is off to an amazing start!

I wanted to share a little project that I began with the new year that has been a way to get back to what I really love about photography and it is sharedwith the hope that you might find something useful about it for yourself.

First, let me give you some background.

Just around Christmas, my wife reserved  "Julie and Julia" from Netflix.

Ugh, I thought.  Do I *have* to watch that movie?

I knew Meryl Streep was in it and that she did well (when doesn't she??), but, come on, I knew it wasn’t going to be a “guy film”.

I was right, it wasn’t.  But it was a very good film on so many levels.

The acting, of course, was superb.  The cinematography was spectacular.  I discovered more about Julia Child and her commitment to learn how to be a great chef despite the obstacles - that was uplifting.  I had no idea about all that and the love story she lived with her husband Paul.

What got me the most was the inspiration I took from the story of a young writer (Julie), who decided to set up and write a daily blog sharing her experiences creating one recipe a day by the famous chef (Julia).

Doing that blog, that daily work, transformed her as a person.  The commitment to write in the blog forced something in her that she didn't expect.
