A common question in the email I receive is, “How do I actually become an architectural photographer?”  To answer that question more definitively I recently polled AIAP members (Association of Independent Architectural Photographers) as to their path into the business.   I wasn’t completely surprised at the results, but perhaps you will be.

The poll was a single question survey asking, “What was your background immediately prior to beginning work as a professional architectural photographer?”
